Silvers Rayleigh, also known as the Dark King, is the former vice-captain of Gol D. Rogers crew, the last Pirate King.

After the dissolution of Rogers crew, Rayleigh retired to the Sabaody Archipelago, where he became a mysterious figure, living a quiet life away from the worlds affairs.

However, he momentarily returned to action to help Luffy and his crew prepare for their journey to the New World.

His wisdom and experience greatly aided Luffy and his companions on their continued adventure.

Rayleigh masters three forms of Haki at an advanced level, making him one of the most powerful characters on the Grand Line, even without his swordsmanship and despite his old age.

His Armament Haki enhances his body and attacks; his Observation Haki allows him to anticipate opponents moves and predict future actions; and his Conquerors Haki grants him an aura of dominance.
